With all the positive feedback received from customers booking online, the EAP website has been a success. Shortly after launch and a busy Christmas/New Year period EAP requested an additional section for Travel Agents to register as well as login to the booking system. Further additions to the site have included a co-branded page with Corporate Traveller, part of the Flight Center Travel Group.

Melbourne businessman Walter Futschik saw a gap in the off-airport parking industry that needed filling. As a businessman who travelled regularly, Walter knew first hand that what was missing was a first class provider of not only secure parking, but a reliable service with added benefits without the added costs. Business Situation

Having transformed his warehouse into an extensive outdoor/indoor parking facility Walter needed an online presence to help promote his new parking facility, its services and rates, as well as provide an online booking system for his customers.

As a new business on a tight budget the site needed to be developed from scratch, built from limited content and with a very short deadline. (Walter contacted Vendhost in October and wanted to be ready to launch in November in time for the Christmas holiday period). Vendhost pulled out all the stops to help Walter and his newly appointed team to achieve their goals.

Technical Situation

Working with Drupal as the framework we knew the deadline was achievable. Integration with a third-party online booking system while maintaining the functionality of a responsive website needed to be addressed. With extensive Adwords and print media campaigns planned at launch, visitors would be on numerous devices and all needed to be backed up by a great user experience.

Solution

With the initial supplied content and logo we setup a temporary landing page with basic contact information and an opening special promotion. Incorporating the colours of the logo across the overall style of the site gave the elite feel Walter was looking for and we complimented this with a careful selection of stock images. Special attention was paid to images of the EAP branded courtesy bus to remove the background and unwanted reflections.

Banners were created for sidebars to promote specials and EAP Membership. An extensive services gallery was created with a simple interactive popover to display details using JavaScript. Web forms were developed to custom requirements for membership signup as well as the booking forms and travel agent signup which needed backend integration with their 3rd-party parking software. Google maps were generated to provide quick location information.

With all the content in place the custom responsive theme was tested and tweaked to ensure the site was displayed equally across any device.
